About Tops in America
Tops in America is a directory of local businesses. A listing shows a business name, a location, and a way to get in touch.
A listing is not an endorsement. Businesses are included from directory records and from listings the business submits. Being listed does not mean the company was inspected or ranked against its competitors.
Three different labels
Premium means the business paid for extra listing features, such as more photos, a featured badge, social links, and an analytics dashboard. Payment is advertising. It does not buy a rating, a review, or an award, and it does not guarantee customers.
Verified means the listing has a phone number and the person who manages it has claimed it. It is not a license check, a site visit, or a background check.
Top Rated means the published rating on this site is at least 4.5 from at least 3 reviews. A business with fewer reviews is not Top Rated. The homepage selection is separate from that rating.
How this site makes money
Free listings stay free. The main paid offer is a Business Spotlight or a monthly content plan. A smaller self-serve Premium listing is also available. Those payments buy the stated work or features. They do not buy a rating.
